ImageWalker is a stylish desktop application focused on a new way to manage and work with an image collection. It has its own skin and color scheme (by default it is very dark, some people will like it), and sometimes resembles Picasa (from Google) because of some visual effects/transitions/animations applied over the user interface.
IMHO, I don't like the default color scheme, too dark (although you can change it), and the orange rollovers over the menu...moreover, the fonts are somehow a little blurry (if not, man, I'm on a serious trouble!).
The overall hard disk space required is about 6.5 MB, so I can't say it is a heavyweight application. In fact, it is very fast to install, load and uninstall if you want.
Now talking about the program features, I have to say that you will not see anything new. You can apply various filters to the image, but most of them are not configurable (like blur and sharpen) so their use is limited. You can view an image folder as a web page or like a thumbnail sheet, to print them on one page.
Personally, I prefer Picasa, it is far more complete (and the same as nice), however some people will find it useful due to its easy usage.
